The Koffee Pot: My Favourite Fry Up in Manchester!

Part cafe, part taco bar. The Koffee Pot has been a staple of the Manchester food scene since 1978, serving up breakfasts and pints for 40 years in its home of the North Quarter. The Koffee Pot prides itself on its no-frills, speedy full englishs along with its signature ‘MancMuffins’, pancakes and eggs bennies.

This is the home of honestly one of my favourite vegan breakfasts in Manchester. Serving two GoodLife sausages, hash brown, a grilled tomato, fried mushrooms, cheesy bacon & tofu scramble topped with chives, roasted peppers, baked beans, vegan black pudding and toast. This vibrant diner has exactly what you want out of a vegan fry up-the food comes out quickly and the portions are exceptional.

In contrast to seemingly everywhere else in the Northern Quarter, The Koffee Pot dons a colourful diner aesthetic that makes it difficult to forget. Previously Birria Brothers Tacos hosted a pop up in the Koffee Pot kitchen, but in recent times, the Birria Brothers have expanded into the Koffee Pot building. This has transformed the cafe into a diner by day and taco bar by night. This is something that I would love to check out (if there were more vegan options, wink wink nudge nudge).

This is not the first time I have visited the Koffee Pot and it will not be the last.
